We all travel around with our friends and family, go for road trips, pass through a lot of isolated places and bridges but we never take notice of things that are happening around us. Sometimes we even come across few local guides who says that some particular place or area of the town or city or village is haunted. But we don’t give it much attention.
But what if one day you are going somewhere with your friends or family and all of a sudden you hear someone crying or screaming or laughing on the road. What will you do then? You will look out for the person and what if you fail to find the source of the voice? Well, guess what that proves that you are now the victim of a ghost and is kind of stuck in a paranormal activity.
Most of the people will freak out and will probably never ever cross the road again but adventurous people will most definitely be curious and will definitely go out and search for the source. Anyways, whatever it is the truth is that nobody knows that whether haunting and paranormal things do exist or not. But we have the list of few bridges which are believed to be haunted due to some valid reasons.

1. The Overtoun Bridge
This epitome of architectural beauty is full of unresolved mysteries. This bridge is also called as ‘The dog suicide bridge’. In the year 1950’s or 1960’s around 50 dogs committed suicide here and then in the year 1994 a man jumped his baby from the bridge. The reason behind these deaths or suicides is still unresolved.
2. Grand Park (Seven bridges) in South Milwaukee
The entry gate of the park has words engraved “Enter this wild wood and view the haunts of nature” which are horrifying themselves. Many visitors have committed suicide here and you can even hear screaming sounds at night time.
3. Goatman’s bridge
The local people are seen warning visitors to always switch on their car’s headlights otherwise on the other side you will meet some ghosts. But apparently some people don’t understand the word warning and just go on the bridge without lights resulting in some ghostly activities happening to them. Reportedly many people here are grabbed, mysteriously touched and even thrown stones at. So the rule says that always cross the bridge with your car’s headlights on otherwise you will enter the party of ghosts.
4. Egypt road bridge
Egypt road bridge is also called as ‘The cry baby bridge’ because years before a baby accidently fell into the river and drowned. Then in 2010 a woman was burned in this bridge. Since then people who cross the bridge can hear the voices of a baby crying and a ghost of a woman is also seen some time.
5. Sachs bridge, Gettysburg
This beautiful bridge is haunted by the soldiers of Civil War. Full body phantoms, spiritual voices, cold spots are some of the common occurrences.
6. Brooklyn bridge, Brooklyn, Newyork
This bridge has always been haunted ever since it was built. It is said that while its construction almost 27 workers died. And ever since it has been built it has become a common suicide point.
7. Clinton road bridge, New Jersey
It is said that a young boy was drowned years ago in the river and ever since then his ghost resides here. People also say that if you will throw a coin at him he will throw back the coin to you. So beware of the young angry ghost.
8. Danville bridge, Indiana
While building the bridge one of constructor named Dan Jones fell into the wet cement and died. Now people say that they hear the sound of screaming and hammer banging in the bridge.
9. Emily’s bridge, Coles County, Illinois
On October 19, 1980, people found a mutilated body of a woman whose hands, legs and head were missing. The body wasn’t identified till 2008. Visitors say that they have found scratches in their cars parked outside. Also, they have seen ghosts banging their car doors.
10. Colville covered bridge, Bourbon county, Kentucky
Around 1930 three people went to the bridge but never returned. Then later on a couple and an old lady also mysteriously died in the bridge. People traveling from here say that they have seen lights shining from underneath the bridge and they can also hear the coughing sounds of the old woman.
