Rivers have always been a very important source of water and also for trade and transport. These rivers are not just a great source of trade and water but are also equally destructive. On one hand these rivers provide a lot to farmers and even other people living nearby the river and on the other hand, they also cause a lot of havoc.

Earth have so many beautiful, deep and long rivers which are very useful for us. But these rivers when overflows creates a catastrophe in people’s life.

Then recently on 1st June 2015 also a cyclone hit a ship and 400 people died again. In 2012 a part of the river in Chongqing turned red for an unknown reason.

Amazon is the second largest river after the Nile. The length of this river is 6,751 km. The river is home for many dangerous aquatic beasts. The Amazon basin covers almost 40% of the South America. Scientists have accepted it that the river is highly contaminated due to years of population and suffers from radioactive discharges from the factories.

Despite all the benefits this river provides in North America it has also been a major reason for the destruction of mankind. In the year 2011, US faced a massive destruction due to flooding in Mississippi.
