Breakups can be depressing and we need someone to help us go through that phase. And only true friends can help us with it. They can listen to us, distract us, give bizarre ideas and most importantly they understand us. That’s why one always need that friend around them when they go through a breakup.

1. Answer their phone calls
They will call you and you must answer them immediately. At this stage they somebody who is a constant support. They call you because they know that you can work this out.
2. Get them out of the house
Invite them to dinners, parties or get-together. Just find an excuse to bring them out of their house so that they can enjoy some time with you. It will distract their mind from their breakup.
3. Check in with them
Make it a habit to give them a call and check on them. See that if they are doing fine or not. Don’t let them feel like they are all alone.
4. Tell them that they aren’t alone
Remind them constantly that they are not alone. They have you and their family and their other friends as well.
5. Encourage them to date again
I know it can be hard to think about dating again but still encourage them to give it a try again. Maybe this time it will all be right.
6. Try something new and fun together
Try something new and fun together so that they can leave their past behind and will again learn to enjoy their life again.
7. Give them the needed space
They might need some space as well. Give them some alone time so that they can figure their thoughts out. You don’t have to hover over them all the time like a ghost.
8. Be realistic
Don’t encourage their illusions by saying that everything will be fine. Tell them that you and all their friends love them very much.
9. Cook dinner together
Cooking can actually be fun and especially with your friend. Relive those old moments when you used to cook and mess the kitchen or end up having a food fight.
10. Plan a sleepover
Plan a sleepover with them and have some fun. Ask your, other friends, to join in. Watch Netflix, eat lots of ice cream and have a pillow fight.
