Bollywood and original ideas are not something we can put in the same sentences. Most of the time what we see in serials or movies we can easily remember it from somewhere. That’s because the scene is copied from a film or a show. Originality is a rare thing in Bollywood.
Maybe that’s the reason why Bollywood is losing its charm and people are demanding or original concepts. But when we talk about copied content then there are a few shows that I can recall that comes from a film or a TV show.

1. Love You Zindagi and Jab We Met
The story was quite similar. It was a finite series and was quite fun to watch.
2. Bidaai and Vivaah
The story of two sisters based on racial partiality. The story of the show and the film is quite similar.
3. Brahmarakshas and Jaani Dushman
The not so horror film and the show were based on some illusional demons. Over VFX just spoiled the fun of watching both the film and the show.
4. Naagin and Nagina
One of the most popular show and the film as well. The Naagin concept gained a lot of popularity.
5. Badho Bahu and Dum Laga Ke Haisha
The heavy wife to a handsome hunk this story was quite different from the usual. But nonetheless, it was fun to watch the film and the show both.
6. Jaana Na Dil Se Door and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam
A very interesting love triangle the show sure did gain a lot of popularity just like the film it was inspired by.
7. Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil and Pardes
Pardes movie inspired a number of TV shows but the one show that was almost the exact copy of the film was Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil.
8. Naamkaran and Zakhm
Naamkaran and Zakhm were both similar to each other. If you will watch the show and the film then you will feel the similarity to some extent.
9. Peshwa Bajirao and Bajirao Mastani
After we saw Bajirao Mastani the TV show based on Bajirao’s life was also launched soon. The show even cast the same boy who was in the film to play the child character of Bajirao.
10. Jodha Akbar and Jodha Akbar
Well, it’s no secret that the show was copied from the film Jodha Akbar but the show was detailed, unlike the film.
11. Dil Toh Hai Dil and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham
Honestly, I haven’t the seen the show much but whatever I saw I can surely say that I felt the similarity.
12. Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai and Woh Kaun Thi
The mystery thriller starring Sadhana and Manoj Kumar was very precisely shown in the show.
13. Kya Hua Tera Wada and Biwi No. 1
The show was quite popular but it was copied from Biwi No. 1.
14. Dil Se Dil Tak and Chori Chori Chupke Chupke
The recent show on Colors channel was quite similar to Chori Chori Chupke Chupke.
