The Union Health Ministry indicated that about 60% of the Covid-19 cases in India are from five states. Maharashtra alone has contributed 23,000, and Andhra Pradesh 10,000 till the present date. Currently the active number of cases in the nation remains at 919,018. Nearly 75% of these active cases are from the nine most terribly hit states.
Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh jointly contribute about 49% of the active cases till date. Maharashtra is driving the count with around 250,000 cases, while Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh follow with around 97,000 cases each.
On average terms about 1000 deaths get reported daily. On Thursday about 1,172 passings were noted from all across the country. With that, the number of Covid-19 deaths in India currently stands at 75,062 and the demise rate is at 1.68%. About 70% of the deaths in the country are being accounted from these five worst hit states.

The Covid recoveries in India have observed a consistent betterment, with 100% increase in patients recouped and discharged in the last three weeks, from about 1.6 million on August 13 to about 3.4 million recuperations on September 10.
