Congress To Launch Nationwide Protest Against Farm Bills From September 24

Congress party on Monday said it will push in a cross country protest against the farm bills passed by Parliament and furthermore start a mission for aggregate two crore marks of the farmers and the poor against these proposed enactments.

At a press conference after a meeting of the senior pioneers of the party, K C Venugopal said the Congress will likewise dispatch a huge mark campaign in which it plans to gather two crore signatures from the farmers and the needy individuals against farm bills.

Along with this a memorandum would be submitted to President, the Congress leader said. Another Congress head Randeep Surjewala said a progression of press conferences will likewise be composed against the farm bills nationwide.

The state party bosses and other senior pioneers will take out marches as a mark of protest in their individual states and present the memorandum to the state governors, Surjewala said. The Congress additionally blamed Shiromani Akali Dal for getting indulged in two fold talk and of being unscrupulous on the farm bills and inquired as to why they have not left the decision ruling National Democratic Alliance. Congress and some other resistance groups have been challenging the farm bills, charging these would hurt the interests of farmers and benefit corporates.
