India Slams ‘Ill-Informed & Unwarranted’ Remarks By Trudeau On Farmers Row

The S Jaishankar drove External Affairs Ministry on Tuesday (1 December) harshly contradicted Canadian Prime Minister’s remarks over a dissent by Punjab farmers at the Delhi fringe.

Trudeau on Monday (30 November) had commented that “The circumstance is very concerning. We all are stressed over loved ones, and this is a reality for some. Let me remind you. Canada will consistently safeguard the privileges of peaceful protesters. We have implied our interests to the Indian specialists.”

In light of Trudeau’s assertion, the External Affairs Ministry has said that it has seen some not well-educated remarks by Canadian pioneers identifying with India ranchers which are inappropriate, considering they relate to the inward undertakings of a majority rule country.

“We have seen some badly educated remarks by Canadian pioneers identifying with ranchers in India. Such remarks are ridiculous, particularly when relating to the inner issues of a popularity based nation. It is additionally best that strategic discussions are not distorted for political purposes”, said the proclamation.
