The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) recorded a police complaint against Sonu Sood, blaming him for changing over a six-story residential building, into a hotel without the necessary authorizations.
The six-storied residential structure is situated in Mumbai’s Juhu.
“It has been discovered that Sonu Sood has instituted/commenced/undertaken/carried out development or changed the user of land. Unauthorised addition/alterations beyond the approved plan and unauthorised change of user from residential to residential hotel building without taking technical sanction from competent authority”, reads the complaint.
The grievance adds that Sonu Sood kept doing the unapproved development regardless of being presented with a notification a year ago.
Sonu Sood accordingly has denied these charges and claims that he had applied for fundamental authorization from the BMC and it was dependent upon an endorsement by the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority. This endorsement he says has been deferred because of Covid-19.
He has added that the structure will be changed over back to its residential structure on the off chance that he neglects to get the authorization.
Sood has declared that he will be engaging against the BMC decision in the Bombay High Court.
