Showing a huge interest from new clients, the cross-stage messaging application Signal has faced a worldwide outage on Friday.
Disclosing of new privacy terms by Whatsapp a week ago has profited Signal which earned a large number of new clients from that point onward.
Because of the outage clients of the application from across the world have revealed that they couldn’t send messages on both the mobile and desktop applications.
In a progression of tweets, the organization of Signal App said that they are encountering some technical difficulties and are working hard to restore service as quickly as possible.
“We have been adding new servers and extra capacity at a record pace every single day this week nonstop, but today exceeded even our most optimistic projections. Millions upon millions of new users are sending a message that privacy matters. We appreciate your patience,” Signal wrote of Twitter.
As of late, Web messaging application WhatsApp experienced harsh criticism over its new data-sharing arrangement. Following inescapable analysis, WhatsApp has explained that no personal messaging data will be monitored, stored, or shared. It had claimed that the updated policy pertains to how businesses use data for customer service.
Whatsapp declared that it has chosen to delay a privacy update by three months due to “misinformation causing concern” among its users.
