Angela Merkel Attacks Twitter Over Trump Ban

Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel has named the choice of web-based media platforms like Twitter to for all time suspend the US president Donald Trump’s records as problematic.

She believes that the bosses of such online stages should not determine the freedom of opinion.

“The principal right to opportunity of opinion is a basic right of elementary significance, and this crucial right can be meddled with, but through the law and within the framework defined by the legislature, not according to the decision of the management of social media platforms. From this point of view, the chancellor considers it problematic that the accounts of the US president have been permanently blocked,” the spokesperson of German Chancellor said.

On Saturday, social media giant Twitter declared that it is restricting US President Donald Trump from its platform, referring to “risk of further incitement of violence”.

On Twitter, Donald Trump’s handle is currently a white page, frozen with 51 followed accounts and 88.7 million followers and two words on the focal point of screen saying “Account suspended”.

In the interim, Tech giant Google has eliminated application Parler from its Play Store for purportedly offering space to egregious content like posts that incite violence.
