Gully Boy Featuring Alia & Ranveer Is Selected In The 69th Berlin International Film Festival

Gully Boy is all set to be screened at 69th Berlin International Film Festival 2019. Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt will be seen sharing the screen for Zoya Akhter’s Gully Boy. The movie also features Kalki Koechlin, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Vijay Verma, Vijay Raaz and Amruta Subhash in pivotal roles.

Gully Boy is loosely inspired by the life of a Mumbai street rapper Vivian Fernandes popularly known as Divine and Naezy or Naved Sheikh. They both got recognition after their song ‘Mere Gullt Mein’.

The 69th Berlin International Film Festival will run from February 7 to 17, 2019. The Film Festival will open with the drama ‘The Kindness of Strangers’ written and directed by Lone Scherfig. The first list of the selected movies were released by the film fest. It included six movies for the completion. Gully Boy has been selected along with a documentary titled Watergate and a German film Brecht. Entries from different corners of the world like, Germany, Austria, Turkey, France and Canada have been invited.

The movie Gully Boy will be released in India on the 14 February 2019.
