Incidents That Shook Bollywood During The Lockdown

Bollywood is known to be an industry of unknown happenings, you never know what might occur. 2020 has been a disastrous year for the whole world due to COVID-19. Covid-19 created so many difficulties that it became difficult for a normal human being to survive in that situation. People faced a complete lockdown for the first time in their life, India had a strict lock-down in which people weren’t allowed to go outside their house which created many problems. People faced unemployment, financial problem, hunger strike, and many more. During the lock-down period, many big things happened in Bollywood. Here is a list of big things that occurred during the lockdown in Bollywood.

1. Irrfan Khan

One of the biggest loss that Bollywood had was of losing the great talented actor Irrfan Khan. He was one of the finest actors in Bollywood, the whole country mourned on 29, April, his funeral was attended by his close friends and family members.

2. Rishi Kapoor

Another great loss faced by the industry was Rishi Kapoor, just after Irrfan Khan the great veteran actor Rishi Kapoor also passed away on April 30.

3. Actors Commit Suicide

Due to the lock-down, there were many actors who faced a financial crises and committed suicide. Industry lost many talented actors during this time like Preksha Mehta, Garmeet Grewal, and many more.

4. Actors For Social Cause

During the lock-down period there was a rise in domestic violence cases. Kartik Aaryan made a video showing domestic violence and how to stand against it.

5. Priyanka Chopra Controversy

During the end of lock-down there was Black Lives Matter movement in America which raised a lot of voices. Priyanka also supported that movement and was thrashed by Indians for endorsing a fairness cream in India and called her a hypocrite.
