Indian women nowadays are working worldwide and making India proud. Nowadays, women from all backgrounds are fighting to get recognized as the most beautiful women. But what makes them different from other women is the way they carry themselves with culture, heritage, and attitude.

But apart from all these things the shocking part is that the women who won the beauty pageants never planned to be where they are now. They had their lives planned in some other way but ended up becoming Miss World and Miss India.

Reita became Miss World in 1966. But later on, she rejected the life of acting and modeling and ended up becoming a doctor. She always wanted to practice medicine and she pursued her dream and became a successful doctor. She now lives in Dublin, Ireland with her husband.

2. Aishwarya Rai

Aishwarya won Miss World in 1994 and at that time she was studying architecture. She wanted to become an architect but she was also doing modeling at the same time. Finally, she ended up becoming an actress. Now she is living a happy life with her husband Abhishek Bachchan and daughter Aradhya.

3. Diana Hayden

Diana Hayden won Femina Miss India contest in 1997 and was then crowned as Miss World in 1997. She tried her hands in Bollywood but couldn’t make it.

4. Yukta Mookhey

Yukta Mookhey is the winner of Miss World 1999. She also tried her hands in Bollywood like every other pageant winner but she failed. In 2010 she pledged to donate her eyes.

7. Sushmita Sen

Sushmita Sen became Miss Universe in 1994. She was the first Indian woman to win the crown. Sushmita started her Bollywood journey with the film ‘Dastak‘. She is now a single mother to two very beautiful daughters whom she adopted.

Lara Dutta became Miss Intercontinental in 1997 and Miss Universe in 2000. She wanted to become a journalist and she once confessed that her role model is CNN’s anchor Christine Amanpour. 9. Zeenat Aman

Zeenat Aman won Miss Asia Pacific in 1970. Zeenat started her career with ‘Hulchul‘ in 1971. She also appeared on every Hindi Film magazine’s cover during the 1970s. She was the favorite cover girl of Stardust. Nowadays she is living with her two sons and often appears in various award functions.
