Narcotics control bureau has received the forensic report on the viral video of Karan Johar house party and has submitted it to the Director-General Rakesh Asthana as evidence by Akali Dal leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa.
Sources say that the video has been found undoctored. The video was of a party hosted by Karan Johar where many Bollywood celebrities were seen. Narcotics control bureau will conduct a meeting soon to discuss further course of action.
In his statement, Karan Johar has already clarified claiming it to be a malicious campaign against him and his family. “I have already clarified my position way back in 2019 that the allegations were false,” he said, while also adding that media reports are misleading by reporting that narcotics were consumed at the party. “All these slanderous and malicious statements, news articles, news clipping unnecessarily subjected me, my family, my colleagues, and Dharma Production to hatred, contempt, and ridicule,” said Karan Johar’s statement.
The Narcotic Control Bureau had earlier questioned and arrested Kshitij Ravi Prasad. Johar, clarifying Dharma Production’s distanced stance from the issue and Prasad, in his statement, said, “Mr. Kshitij Ravi Prasad joined Dharma entertainment in November 2019 as one of the executive producers on contract basis for a project which eventually did not materialise.”
After the video the party was found to be undoctored, Manjinder Singh Sirsa came out with the video statement stating his stand has been vindicated. He further said that very soon Karan Johar will have to face legal consequences for hosting a drug party at his house and will be having legal consequences.
