The year 2018 was a great a year with some outstanding and mind-blowing performances. Bollywood opted for a different by providing the viewers with some great story lines and not the same ancient love stories. The year 2018 witnessed some great scripts experimenting in various genres and some movies were great hit while others couldn’t meet the expected mark of the audience. But then also the actors won hearts of the audience and proved themselves again that the future of Bollywood is in right hands.
So here is the list of actors who made the film journey more of an unexpected adventure.
1. Ranveer Singh
The year 2018 began with a bang from the movie Padmaavat which was toiling in the high waves of controversies. But at the end of the day, we can say that the wait was worth it.
Ranveer Singh’s high on energy, acting skills and the way he adapted the mannerism of his character Alauddin Khilji was incredible and nerve-racking.
2. Ranbir Kapoor
Even the ones who didn’t like Ranbir were impressed by him after the movie Sanju. It was not only the resemblance but also the way he showed the different stages in Sanjay Dutt’s life along with capturing the issue of anxiety, the pain and struggle in the movie seemed so effortless.
3. Vicky Kaushal
He proved himself again and again and repeatedly won our hearts. The moment we realized that Vicky in Raazi the same actor who played Sanjay Dutt’s best friend in Sanju and then later in Manmarziyan we couldn’t believe it.
We are just awestruck by his performance and his simplicity with which he plays every character be it in the web series or the film industry.
4. Varun Dhawan
Be it a hyper person in Judwaa to a calm n composed Danish ‘Dan’ Walia, Varun Dhawan gave his best performance. The actor Varun Dhawan was totally into his character.
5. Ayushmann Khurrana
With Andhadhun and Badhai Ho, Ayushmanm totally outplayed everyone. Giving two different genres- a thriller and a comedy film the actor performed in great style. The different story lines and a totally different character were carried off with so much ease, be it the blind pianist or the perfect imperfect Delhi lad, Ayushmann impressed us with his talent.
6. Rajkumar Rao
Rajkumar Rao is one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood. Be it a funny movie like Stree, or a dark character in Ometra it is Rajkumar Rao who can pull off his characters so well.
7. Nawazuddin Siddiqui
Last but not least, this actor needs no introduction or anything because his reputation precedes him. The year for him started with the web series Sacred Games and then Manto. The web series in Netflix set new standards and was widely acclaimed. The year 2019 will see him as Bal Thackeray and is scheduled to be released on 18 January.
